• We have more room! We would love to have KidsCON bustling with kids! Please spread the word and invite friends to sign up! T-shirts will be ordered soon so anyone who hasn’t signed up may not get a desired size.
• Your child will be going outside for games and should have sunscreen applied on Saturday before arrival.
• Close toed shoes are preferred (flip flops are tough to play games in).
• Lunch from Chik-Fil-A will be served (nuggets, chips, juice box and watermelon). If your child would prefer something else just bring their lunchbox marked with their name to our “Cantina” & our team will make sure they have it for lunch. PLEASE NO PEANUT BUTTER OR ANYTHING WITH NUTS.
• Snacks will be served; popsicles, fruit, crackers will be provided when kids are at the “Games Station.” There will also be Gluten Free options. Thank you for letting us know your child’s allergy concerns when you signed up.
• There will be water stations available. Please do not send kids with water bottles as they will be traveling all over the building and it will be difficult to keep track of individual water bottles.
• We will have a nurse at KidsCON. Should there be any issues, we will call the emergency contact listed on your registration form. Epi pens can be left with our Nurse at check-In.
• Doors will open 20 minutes before KidsCON is scheduled to begin. We will start right on time on both Friday and Saturday.
• We will use the same check-in procedure that we use at GK on a Sunday morning. Download the Church Center app and you can check your kids in before you even enter the building! When you arrive you will print your child’s sticker AND you will have your child’s security tag right on your phone (so no need to hold onto a matching sticker all day)!
• At pick up, you will need to show your child’s Crew Leader your code to ensure that it matches your child’s sticker. No child will be dismissed without a matching code. Your code will be on your church center app (or on your sticker if it was printed for you).
• Drop-off and pick-up will happen through our main doors. Once KidsCON starts, our side parking lot (the side where our red trash receptacles are) will be blocked off for our Games Station. When the orange cones are put in place you will not be able to drive around the building. Thank you for keeping kids safe by not driving through the cones and by not parking in the spots that are blocked. When you come for pick up you are welcome to park in any open space.
• Our opening and closing sessions are open for you to attend! Please feel free to join us by sitting in the back of the sanctuary so your child can be part of his/her crew.
• We do have a pre-school option for anyone serving. If you want to serve but need childcare, please reach out to [Jane](mailto:[email protected]?subject=j.mulcahy%40genesiswoburn.com&body=I%20want%20to%20serve%20at%20KidsCON%20but%20have%20a%20little%20one%20that%20needs%20care.%20) and we will coordinate for your little one to be with our nursery team.
• Our bathroom policy prevents us from helping kids in the bathroom, with any issue (including buttoning/unbuttoning pants). If your child needs help with the bathroom you will need to be present. Please be in touch if you have concerns.
• There will be characters at KidsCON, including Star Wars, ET and other space creatures. We won’t have anything scary but if your child is sensitive please warn them ahead of time that we are just pretending here at KidsCON and we are so excited for them to have fun with us! We do ask our characters to remain “in character” when they are in costume. If your child does not like this type of pretend, please let us know so that we can help support them.
