GENESIS is committed to cultivating a culture where ALL people have the opportunity to build meaningful friendships with one another because we believe that our friendship with one another deepens our relationship with God. GROUPS provide opportunities for us to practice and grow in our faith in a smaller GROUP setting throughout the week.
GROUPS are a critical part of our discipleship at GENESIS because they:
The aim of GROUPs is to develop people who are continually growing in Christlikeness. To love like Jesus loved and to serve like Jesus served.
While each GROUP may have a unique feel, there are THREE Key Components to each GROUP -
WORD - We talk about God’s word together (whether that is the scripture from Sunday, or another book of the bible - we value the study of God’s Word!)
PRAYER - We commit to praying for one another
FRIENDSHIP - We walk with God together as we build friendships with each other
GROUPS are offered on a TRIMESTER basis of 10-12 week commitments.
